In order to build the cell tower the lessee will have to apply to Lakewood township for variances. They will have to notify all residents which live within 200 feet of the purposed tower of their application which will give them an opportunity to object. If the tower is built it will also give them notification of whom to sue if they should get cancer or some other health issue that they can attempt to blame on the cell tower. Whether or not they will win the community will still have to spend money on legal defense.

 

This is not an unreasonable expectation as Cell Phone Carriers have even warned their shareholders of potential future litigation in connection with health issues potentially associated with 5G. For Example Verizon's 10-form states:

Verizon Wireless warns their shareholders in their 10-K form to the US Securities and Exchange Commission that:

“Our wireless business also faces personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits relating to alleged health effects of wireless phones or radio frequency transmitters. We may incur significant expenses in defending these lawsuits. In addition, we may be required to pay significant awards or settlements.”
