I've been reading the plethora of emails from the Board, Mgt, residents who vented about the captioned. I have not added my voice because I view these conversations as an exercise in futility. It is easy to vent, but hopefully, after you read my email we could make a positive step and at the very least verify who is and who isn't reaching out.

 

 I attended the recent community board meeting where the non renewal of our community bulk rate was revealed. Do you remember the sitting Board Member who took responsibility for this idea? It was Erma Hoover!!

 

Hearing the captioned, I spoke at the podium asking the Board to reach out to Optimum to see if they could help residents with getting some sort of a "Bulk" Rate. The Board agreed.

 

About two and a half weeks later, I called Optimum and after a lengthy wait, followed by a lengthy three-way conversation, the result was Optimum would do a bulk rate for 300 (+) residents as long as there was a board signatory. I shared this information with the Board.

I have read all the recent correspondence from the Board, Mgt, residents at large, Optimum etc. None of it productive in my mind.

I have several suggestions, please don't shoot the messenger.

First, is a residents score card for the Boards, both Community and Condo- not only for this issue,- but for all the other issues we as residents suffer especially, the Condo insurance disaster, the lies, the verbal abuse we suffer that was finally brought to light by a brave Condo resident, I would like to see a condo residents score card report at each of the Four condo meetings. 

 

How about a letter/email from the Community and Condo boards(?) to our local channel 12 television station and "KANE IN YOUR CORNER"? I don't know how many watch this, but I have seen major corporations, car dealers, banks, hospitals, and even Amazon bend to the negative pressure.

Since Optimum is a major advertiser on our local station, I ask you, the residents, is that something that you think would be a good idea. If nothing else we would have an idea of who is NOT talking, part of the blame game. Please tell the Community Board to send an email to

Channel 12, and Kane in your corner-- is it worth a try??-
