As per Sal Pirrera (community manager) the hybrid Security Service contract that the Board will be voting on will replace the night guard with a remote guard. This means NO MORE NIGHT GUARD!

Other communities have tried this and have had issues with emergency vehicles entering the community when the gate fails to open.

Remote guards are used by communities to save on average 50%/guard. However, our board has negotiated a contract where we will only save 1.5%/year. This does not offset the cost of the new gate, new cameras, and any other equipment needed for well over 4 years. So why are we risking our safety for this?

And why are we spending so much money on a new system when we have difficulties ahead in funding our Capital Reserve and our Budget shows that we will have a loss next year even after depleting the Snow and Insurance reserve funds!
